Leather Shoulder Bags
Shown here is a collection of leather bags I have created. Some for friends and some just because. I titled this section to be basically generic. For me they are more of what in the old west would be messenger or possibles bags. A possibles bag has been carried by men for centuries as pockets in clothing were not that common and peoples possessions were few.
Today it would be referred to as a manbag, for a woman, a purse.
As part of my presentation are ones that I have made for women (one who requested the stitching to be on the inside of the bag.
As mentioned on the home page, these are completely hand made out of leather using waxed thread of faux sinew for stitching. The leather is either purchased in the color shown or is a veg-tan that has been dyed to the requested color.
Tan/Brown Shoulder Bag
This is an over the shoulder bag that is designed for over the left shoulder and the bag hangs on the right hip. The strap is adjustable.
The tan leather is rough and the brown is smooth. Stitching is a three strand faux sinew rap. The beadwork is sewn and glued into the leather.
Fringe is sewn into the sides and bottom of the bag.
Bag measures approx 12″ wide by 7.5″ high and is approx 4″ deep. There are two pockets in the rear and two in inner front with button closures. Two pen pockets on the side. A pewter clasp is in front to secure the flap.
Brown/Black Shoulder Bag
Over the left shoulder with the bag sitting on the right hip. Strap is adjustable for height.
Made of smooth brown leather with a black suede accent. Rivets highlight the border of the flap. Fringe on both sides.
Measures approx 12″wide X 7.5″ high and 4″depth.
Inside back has two pouches which measure approx 4.5″wide x 5″high.
Inside front are two button enclosed pouches of the same measurement.
Front pouch meaures approx 9.5″wide x 5″ high.
Purple Shoulder Bag
Purple leather made specially for a special lady.
The flap has a hand cut butterfly accent made with the rough side and high lighted with decorative white and purple rivets. A chrome clasp to secure the flap. The flap is bordered with the rough purple leather accented with purple rivets.
The stiching on this bag is one the inside by request.
Measures 9.5″wide x 7″ high and 4.5″ deep.
Inside are two pouches approx 6″ x 5″/3″ x 5″
Inside and outside are pouches 9″ x 5″ pouch with button studs for closure.
The straps are double sewn and riveted for stength.
Purple Shoulder Bag II
Another Purple leather purse/shoulder bag made for a special lady.
This parrticular bag is made from dyed veg-tanned leather. The dark purple was a special mixture of red/blue/light tan. The lighter purple is an Angelus Leather PAint mixture of lilac and vilet.
The flap has a hand cut butterfly accent made with decorative white and purple rivets and white waxed cotton thread.. A chrome clasp to secure the flap. The flap is bordered and accented with purple and white rivets.
The stiching on this bag is one the inside by request.
The shoulder strap is also dyed veg-tan leather with purple and white rivets with a butterfly stamp in between.
Measures 9.5″wide x 7″ high and 4.5″ deep.
Inside are two pouches approx 6″ x 5″/3″ x 5″
Inside and outside are pouches 9″ x 5″ pouch with snaps for closure.
The straps are double sewn and riveted tot he bag for stength.

Concealed Carry Bag
Made specially for a friend. This is an over right shoulder bag that hangs on the left hip.
Smooth black leather with brown rough highlight on the flap. Pewter enclosure for the front.
Inside is a holster for concealed carry and there are two pockets on the inside front with button closure.
Beadwork is glued and sewn into the leather and provided by me. Fringe on both sides and the bottom.
Black/Brown Standard Strap Bag
Smooth black leather with rough brown border on the flap with riveted highlight. Pewter clasp.
Measures approx 11.5″ wide x 7.5″ high and 3.5″ deep
Pouches on the inside back measure approx 4″ x 5″ with a pen pouch. Inside front has two pockets with snap enclosures. Outer front is a single pounch with snap enclosures.
